How'd it go today?

Missing some tread too i might add.
I thought it was one of those airless tires, maybe?

The valve stem on a chip truck tire sprung a leak on me today right at I was pulling into the lot at the end of the day.

I'm going to use this for the first time, but as part of a 3:1 on a tree of mine at home. Thoughts?
1598489920445.png I figured it was a good idea considering it has it's own attachment point to an anchor, and has a larger radius than carabiners since I only have 2 pulleys.

I also almost wrecked twice from people pulling out in front of me, and tools started flying out of the chip truck in front of me because the wooden doors fell off it. I knew it would be one of these days. But the job went well...well it involved clearing the overgrown thorny poisonous brush on the steep side of a road with lots of fully extended power pruner use.

Boss was on the job today...said he felt better, so he stood around and instructed myself and the other worker on every move of some extra little things he wanted done after we had finished with our regular stuff... :|: Only kept us a couple hours late...while I was being so graciously instructed, Bob (other worker) walked by me and said quietly "just count to ten"...a little later while Bob was getting all the attention (and getting pissed)I told him to just count to 100:lol:

went out to kitchen for a cup of coffee while practicing on the fiddle and some strange girl walks across my yard...and then my crazy nephew...so he ends up slapping her around out in the street and yelling at her...as I'm on my way out there they walk back where they can see me (on the phone) and nephew takes off running down the road...he knows who I called...damn I wish he'd just stay away...:X

Then got a message that one of my close cousins just got sent home unconscious in an ambulance form U of M hospital...expected to live 2-3 days at most.....

other than that it's been a wonderful day...:big-bat:

Did some learning about and repairing my grinder, really just adjusting and tightening more than I could with the field tools.

Some mini maintenance. Shoulda checked my midwheels sooner. Lesson learned. Been busy. Kept oil in everything. Kept first-aid kit and fire extinguisher unused. Call it a win.

Steady simmer of work. Nothing urgent.

Might upgrade my personal vehicle, an Honda Oddesey 200k, for a well equipped Honda Odyssey with 70k, well cared for, good price, as a friend is upgrading and clearing out an over stock of vehicles at his house.

I kinda like the minivans too, the Odyssey and the Sienna are nice.

Shitty day, Fiddler, like 2 weeks worth of bullshit packed into one day. Fingers crossed for ya that tomorrow is much better.

Is that THE boat, Ruel? How’s she doing at sea?

Sorry about your cousin. Whats ailing them?

Jim, she's been fighting a brain tumor/cancer for Two years now.

Thanks for the thoughts all, without crappy days we wouldn't realise when we are having a good one....besides, no hurricanes, floods, fires, riots, or murder hornets, & such here, so not intolerable...

Hot! Went out with the boss to locate some stuff on a job. Hot and boring work. I'd have had more appreciation for it in the fall. Lots of trees to look at, and no fogging glasses.

Had to re-repair my office chair. The plunger dropped by itself through the middle of my wire coils. I took it apart, and filled the bottom with rocks. That should hold it for awhile.

Mr. Feeling-Good (boss) was working today, doing about the same amount of the same thing that laid him up for the last 30 days. Tried to keep an eye out & help him where he'd let me, but he's a stubborn old fart. :|:

Mowed & trimmed the conservation (read beers, arrows, guns & cards) club next to the golf course for their annual wing-ding.

My Cousin Kim passed away this morning. At least she's out of pain...
