How'd it go today?

A whitetail does and a nice mulie buck. The buck was 200 pounds or so, 5x5 but no brow tines.

He was going to use a pack frame, at probably 6 to 8 hours to get the both out.

I had been reading about Thorium nuclear reactors Cory and decided to ask my buddy if they were viable. He is a nuclear engineer for the Navy.

Apparently the Thorium reactors are hard to make run at a negative temperature coefficient.

A NTC reactor is essential for safety. That means as heat goes up, power goes down.

It has a lot to do with how dense the water is. The hotter the water the less likely the particle will be slowed down enough to spit another atom.

Derrrr, I'm steering clear of nuclear engineering, just not my cup of tea.

Got the new fuel pump on the stump grinder, added hydraulic fluid, and off to the races.

I have to admit that I'm starting to like the ease of stump grinding over climbing. Fiddling levers is easier on the shoulders than climbing and cutting. I need to do some cross training. Rotator Cuff strengthening...always a good idea for climbers, I think. Push ups for climber's elbow.

I survived flying. Survived hanging out with Bonner. Got stupid at work and did this shit.

Should've just stripped it out. Would've been faster and safer than dropping it

Yeah.. that is what I tell the custys all the time... PLEASE just let me climb and strip it. They tripod just like that. Friggen dangerous to work on.
Most of those custys are drop and walks. They usually spend more for me to safety the bastids stripping them of limbs once like that.

Rich, you going to give us a bunch of details about the TS trip??:happy1:

Peter, thanks for posting that about the course. Won't allow, I'm afraid.

Stephen, I'll be bringing my old chaps. ;) I hear the instructors are pretty limited in their knowledge.

It would be real nice if someone like Jerry or Burnham were the instructor. I bet Reg could make it fun, and yourself, Stephen. I'd click my heels and snap to attention for sure.

I would not be the best example. But I agree with it being more Burnam or Gerry, Reg, Nice guy Dave........ Deva... I could name a few
thanks though. I'll take that as a high compliment.

Nice one, Rich, an education on limbs under stress there. Nice when a large enough excavator is on the job and can go breaking off limbs before someone has to wade in. Fun to watch. Time consuming to have to think.

It was pretty cool. I think as a company sherrill is trying to become better. Tripp was very clear that he wants our feedback. Both good and bad. Sherrill is not this glass towered place that I had imagined. It's a warehouse with a few offices and a lot of hard working people that are doing their job. With the buying of treestuff I had some issues. There were a few sherrill only items that I wanted but wouldn't buy. They will be on TS's inventory and possibly other distributors as well. I think joining both of their Rand D groups will do great things for us as well. Both bring a lot to the table and once they work together they can bring us some awesome products.
I'm not saying that anyone should just forgive and forget but just give them a chance on some things. See how Both companies change over time. Don't make a decision till they give you a reason to. I'm still ordering from TS because they haven't given me a reason to shop anywhere else. I can still call, text, or email Luke or Nick with any questions and get a timely response.
Hope what I typed makes sense. I'm tired so I apologize if this bounced around a bit

Masssive photo bomb. Chipper and I had a good saturday together. I put a lot of time into prep, so it should be a good paint job. New coupler tightened everything up nicely.

everything is completely out of order, but you get the idea. . . 8)
