Father’s Day Splicing

I got some Samson Vortex remnants from Wesspur. spliced two dead eye slings. I am noticing a couple of places where the eye looks slightly less full. I don’t know if some pounding with a rubber mallet would even that out?

My son really loves his vortex line. I preferred a soft hand in climbing line back when I started. I prefer something more like poison hivee, sort of medium. Runs better through ascenders. Should make a decent sling.

Try a rubber mallet and a quick snap/sharp tug/pull on the eye. That might help even things out.
