Whats blooming?

 
That is cool. I forgot about it til you posted. I've never seen one, but I remember reading about the unusual bloom when looking up agave once.
 
Those stalks make awesome walking sticks and staves. Properly dried, they're feather light and iron strong. Can't do much bit dry and seal them, so you've gotta deal with the taper, but they're tough.
 
Dandelions are fantastic! One place I rented back in the 90s had a backyard that alternated between yellow flowers and white puffs. It was almost a solid carpet; kind of like your picture up there. It looked great, and was a lot more fun than grass.
 
I like that it's bicolor. That's a really attractive bloom.

An internet search says it's Dame's Rocket. If anyone knows otherwise, I'd like to hear it.
