Dave's girlfriend Dani is making burritos. Thus I will eat burritos.

The lot of us, that is to say, the three adults, Dani's two kids, and the three dogs all went for a hike along Black River. Many rocks, much slope, high altitude. An appetite has been worked up by all.

Not much doing on a Sunday, so may as well make the most of it!

Well we are just picking thru leftover odds and ends today. But we are hosting on Saturday when everyone can get together.

Stephen is making a magnificent dinner, the whole house reeks of it. Katy has organized games. I belive I am well in the lead with scatagories currently. Levi and I won "would you rather". A fine day on the side of this mountian.

Sounds great Kavey. We're going a bit unconventional tonight and will do something with shrimp that I'm defrosting. Not sure quite yet what it will be.

Meat loaf, mashed pots, gravy, green beans. Simple fair

Chicken breasts stuffed with bacon, sauteed mushrooms, and provolone cheese. Topped with more cheese, a chicken demi glaze and served with mashed pots and green beans.

Sidestripe shrimp tonight. An elder stopped by at work today and gave me these since they were fresh. He was the maintenance man here years ago... been retired 17 years. Amazing how the time goes by. I'll guess I'll have to drop by and share with the gang going on.

I put a huge slab of steelhead on the smoker grill, M made a lovely dish of risotto with mushrooms and pine nuts, we steamed some broccoli, and had an apple, nuts, and spinach salad with curry dressing. Mighty fine fare.

Our dinner guests brought a homemade chocolate torte with raspberries...over the top splendid.

Your dinners always sound like they're from an upscale country restaurant Burnham. World country fare elevated, with a suitably high pricetag to go with it :^)

We are inclined to feed well here, 'tis true. M is a talented baker, and since retirement has expanded her repertoire a lot, especially into very delicious vegetarian dishes. I have always enjoyed all cooking and have made something of a specialty of our charcoal fired Weber smoker/grill over many a year now.

We don't do too badly .
