This came up on my Twitter feed, I had never heard of him really, but there was a link to "They Live"
So today I watched it for the first time, I can see how so many people were influenced by it, not least the fight scene which inspired the Peter Griffin/Giant Chicken fight.
B-movie stuff, some poor acting, not least by Roddy himself, but great fun nevertheless.

His son Colt will be our son-in-law next year ... our daughter's boyfriend.

He learned about his dad, Roddy, passing away, about 2 hours before our son's wedding rehearsal. Their family knew he had health issues, and it was not unexpected, but it still caught them off-guard regardless.
