Meh, easy country...aside from the snow. At what point do you shut down? It becomes not worth the hassle here but currently we are wide open which is not normal.😄

Half of the corridors have Roman noses, and drop off about 1/3-1/2 way down the hill. The top of this unit is pretty flat until it’s not. Makes lift difficult as you know.

We are moving units to get away from the small diameter LPP, because as you said… it’s not worth it. They’re calling for mid 30s and sun all week so the snow will bake down and we’ll be stubborn enough to keep going in the decent Fir on steep ground in the next unit until it doesn’t work I suppose.

Today I sawed down a fairly powerful poplar tree d-130 cm. There were many aggravating factors - fences, wires, exercise equipment and nearby trees. In addition, it was constantly raining, which stopped half an hour before the end of the work. I did it in 5.5 hours.

When bore cutting on the bigger stuff especially, if you back boring it you can feel it trying to push out against a pinch situation. Hook your dogs the other way and it will suck right into it. Like Andy said , the chain should be sharp enough to pull its way when back boring. Otherwise time...

Thinking about it... Perhaps an inverted parasol beneath the cuts would be sufficient? Kind of like those silly haircatchers they sold for haircuts a long time ago.
