I worked for a client that had several wolfs, semi-domesticated? F' they were BIG! They didn't bark, and they always came up from behind. Seemed OK, but made me nervous.

I guess that’s why countless thousands of years ago instead of killing and eating them or just killing them as a danger and competitor man kept some of the pups as playthings which then became hunting allies and guardians.

Or was that Game of Thrones? I get real life and that show mixed up sometimes.

One of my hospice patients was a Canadian Air Force flyer who went to the Royal Air Force at the beginning of WW II. He was a Hurricane pilot in Burma. He is mentioned in the book: "Wings Over Burma". I read his copy, then ordered one from a used book seller in England. Nine of them were captured by the Japanese, but escaped and made their way back. They felt 'punished' for being overrun and losing their Hurricanes as they had to fly transport Dakotas once they got back. He said truth was there were more pilots than Hurricanes at that time.
