A doe or two give birth inside most years. They jump in and out over our field fencing easily. After the fawns are born the does come and go as suits them. We have a creek and plenty of cover and forage, so it's a safe and plentiful place for them to raise the little ones.

Plenty of food for the critters and lead for the yotes and they think our place is heaven on earth.

Oh yeah, Dave. We are the headquarters for the Western chapter of the Moles International Federation :D.

I rather like moles...they are very interesting. But there is no doubt they are a bother as well. Fortunately, my "lawn" is just mowed decades old pasture with every known to man vegetation in addition to some grass. I don't try to make our place look like a suburban lot with perfect lawn, not at all.

Youse guys know the Peanut story yeah?

Um yeah, ya should probably watch this one

Ha ok, this discussion brings a Q to mind- how many housers besides me have at least a few mouse traps set in their house, full time.

If I catch about 1 mouse every, say, 3 weeks, I figure things are reasonably under control, pest wise.
I thought you might be interested, Cory...in the last 10 days I have trapped 21 mice in my Jag, and 14 under the house. This is the time of year when it seems the deer mouse activity in my cars and buildings always escalates...but this is unusually high numbers.
