Vox, is part of Vice, and like Vice, they used to do real reporting and documentary work. Now it's mostly hack and attack pieces motivated by extreme ideologies.

Vox is also responsible for the way YouTube treats its content creators. One of their queer Mexican talking heads got into an online pissing match with Stephen Crowder, and the fallout is still affecting everyone on the platform.

Lefty liberal media bullies in short. Not that I can stand political pundits as a whole, but I really don't like being beaten with somebody else's baby seal, so that I'll drink out of paper straws.

Straws are a frivolous waste of resources. So women don't smudge their lipstick. Since I'm not a woman(or wear lipstick I guess), I don't use straws. The fuel tank on my saw is a better use of petrol.

Charge $1 each for them. The bullshit of privatizing profit and socializing cost is garbage; literally. You get a straw whether you want one or not, sometimes even after specifying you don't, and it ends up on the ground for everyone else to deal with. At $1/each, they won't be blithely spread everywhere, and when they are truly wanted/needed, they'll be closely looked after.

Or just use paper. I'm old enough to remember paper straws too, and they worked.

she's keeping 3 babies warm in the snowstorm and pops just brought fish for dinner

The nest is built 145ft up in a Jeffrey Pine tree ~7100ft ASL, one of the highest elevation Bald Eagle nests in the US! It is measured ~5 1/2’ wide and 6’ deep.

Crazy wind and snow atm

@cory Does that third egg still stand a chance of hatching, do you know? I suppose even if it does, the other two chicks will be bigger and stronger, and likely get more food because of it. Downward spiral in that case. The strongest has the best shot at survival.

@Burnham the third egg has hatched. If you click on some adjacent vids, you can see highlights and see 3 chicks

Dang, this morning at 4:45am local eagle time, it looks like it's been a long night- temp has dropped, wind still raging, lotta snow accumulated on the nest. Being an eagle aint all strawberries and rainbows.

Btw, Pat originally posted this vid, thank you Pat!

Cory, you are aware that Big Bear Valley, and Big Bear Lake are basically above San Bernadino just south of Los Angeles? Well, South East. In Southern California.
Most folksdont imagine Eagles a quick drive from LA.

@CurSedVoyce yes I googled it when I saw the BBL snowstorm and your work pic of snowy roads on your way to appts, I wanted to see how far you were from BBL given that you were both apparently getting the same storm system. Further apart than I would have guessed
