Just found this guy on IG, lotta great photos

 
We just had a black bear sighting on my peninsula, a few miles from home, and orcas with babies nearby.


Couple years ago, there was an unsubstantiated cougar watching us at work (groundworker said he saw it).

Oly is cool.
 
Black bear takes on yellow jackets

 
You see the nests dug up and eaten here. One in particular I saw w a s huge!. I had hit it with a mower and pissed them off. Had to go back at dark to get the mower.
Came back some time later and it was dug up and trashed. Tough mudder!
 
The skunks here will dig up the yellow jackets. Saw one one night digging up a nest and thought it was having a seizure or something until the bees started attacking my lite. Education received.
 
Forgot to ask the day I saw these. They were gathered on a white oak. I don't think I've seen them before. Any idea what they are?

Hmmmm, looks like an American carrion beetle to me :rockhard:
