I was just reminded of something that happened to me years ago. I have strong German ancestry on both sides. Despite my name not being spelled the same, I am, nonetheless, a German Shepard. One of the kids in town that used to ride atv's had the house where everyone congregate. When his mother figured out I was a German Shepard, she invented what she called the "German Shepard Dance", which she promptly demonstrated to me. Or ON me, more appropriately. It only reinforced my lifelong commitment to remaining drug and alcohol free.

The pups had me up as soon as it was light. Skye on my side of the bed, nuzzling me awake to go out side and Paisley on Katy's side. They love the snow. Saw it out the bedroom window and wanted out in it pronto.

The Aussies are happy, as are the Big dogs. Snow and more snow. They love it.

Skye would hardly come in from 6am till 10:30. Now they are wore out a little. Tons of romping while Kave and I shoveled snow at the end of the driveway.

Dag chillin near the stove after a short day in the woods. Cutting out shade for sunlight and grass, which we all know won’t grow in the shady woods but the aren’t nearly cutting out what they should. But hey it ain’t my money.

If she is any sort of normal for healthy young dogs, your 6km will be at a minimum quadruple that for her. She is still quite a beauty, Rich.

She is a strange dog for sure.

People think she must need 10-15 km a day but a 3 km walk tracking tired her out much more.

We do walk her 3 times a day. Usually 30-40 in the morning. A decent walk mid afternoon and then a 25 minute walk for toilet duties before bed.

She is in season at the moment and a bit lethargic. I am sure she would have loved to run 4x that much but I cannot let her off as she will be miles away looking for a potential father for puppies 😜

People 3km =3 km, same for a dog on a leash

Dog 3km= 8 people km, if running here and there, offleash.

Sure...I meant off leash. Mostly our dogs have had free run on our hikes and daily rambles.

Put her on a boat. They would make amazing puppies.
