Otis injured his back Thursday morning.
Can't walk or feel his rear legs.
No urine control & hasn't eaten his food or taken a poop since thurs. He's had a LOT of treats though...

Weird, he seems mostly happy (except when he pees on himself). Not so weird: he's a little more "needy" than usual.
Taking it a day at a time right now, hoping the meds from the doc bring improvement.

Thanks, I hope so too, but prepped for whatever way things go.
It's all about quality of life at this point.

Cory, when I finally joined Facebook a few months ago, FB would add some videos from The Dodo into my feed. I enjoyed them so much that I subscribed to their channel and now get videos like that on a daily basis.

This week I found out that Thais is a lot smarter than I thought.
There is a nook behind the drivers seat, where he usually sleeps when we are driving.
As soon as we arrive, he stands up and looks out the front window.
We were wondering how he always knows we have arrived.
So this whole week we kept an eye on him.
Simple explanation: when the GPS says: " arriving at destination!", Thais jumps up.
He has somehow learned to listen to the GPS.

Geezus , that is always brutal. Best wishes, sir.

When the time came for our Lab about 7 months ago, we had a vet come to the house for it, it was a very good and compassionate process, doing it at home. Just saying in case you have any reservations about going to the vet.
