Had to have our older Papillon put down this afternoon. His health has been in decline for about six months now. I couldn’t bring myself to have it done as long as he wasn’t in pain. In the last couple days he got to where he couldn’t eat or walk so it was his time. He was two weeks shy of seventeen so we must have gave him a good life to have made it this far. Rest in peace Jynx.

Thais did me proud today.
I was walking with the guy, who works as the only hired guy at Jægerspris forest district, where we spend most of our time now.
All the rest of us are :" Have saw, will travel".
Going to check on some trees, we planted in spring.
Walking through hip high Bracken fern, Thais running free as usual.
He raised a Roe deer 6 feet ahead of him and immediately went into "FREEZE!!!

Deer ran off, I released Thais.

Best part was hearing the guy tell it to the forester later, an old apprentice of mine, who has known Thais from when he was a pup. ( Thais, that is!)

" I really didn't think a dog could be trained like that"..........................." Well, this one is!". 2019-07-28 16.21.00.jpg

My Rottweiler, Ranger. The pup is Jack, he's Doberman, Weimaraner, Lab, and pitbull. Ranger is a bit over a year old, though we've only had him for a few months. Jack we've had since he was weaned, he's about five months now. I'll get better pics from my other phone eventually.
