Good deal Bob. Hope they sell well. Hell I think I might buy one for the ropes I have.

I don't know how much rope it will hold. The ones I made were 14" tall and used for the many shorter length of rope I had. I'd be guessing if I gave you an answer.

They just went on line a few days ago. I just got off the phone with the fellow who takes care of the WesSpur website and he tells me that both bags have my trademark, yellow bottom on the inside! The Bag Lady will be happy to hear that!

They've been at it a while trying to work the buggs out. To get the right mesh & material combination is the key with this bag and it looks like they've got it right!

Thanks to the sewing ladies at WesSput and also to Bounce for makeing this all happen!

Oh, and lets not forget about FRANS! It was he who got me to develop a Mesh Rope Bag in the first place! Thanks buddy!!!

I will tell everyone here that the standard non-mesh bags will hold 200' of 5/8th's if you stuff it. 150' of climbline easy and I've been tossing the bags from 50' plus with the 5/8ths in it with no blowouts for atleast a year plus. These bags are far and above a superior product to anything else offered.

Congrats Bob I've got I think 5 of your standard bags and will definetly be adding a few of the mesh bags to my next Wesspur order.

I will repeat. There is not a better ropebag on the market. None. My weaver ropebag developed holes after only a few tosses, the HC bags hold up way better.

The mesh bags are intended to hold 150' of 1/2" climbing line without having to stuff it. I've put 200' in there with a little effort. They are exactly the same dimensions as the solid bags. I just got myself a mesh bag and already it's loaded up with wet rope. Nice way to let it dry out after working in the rain.

Bob, have you considered marketing your bags for other carrying purposes besides rope?

WWB,

Not at this time, but I welcome any ideas you might have for marketing and forward them to Bounce (Sean) at WesSpur.

So, WesSpur has full marketing rights over your design?

I was thinking for carrying purposes outside the tree work industry....just a general tote. It's a cool light bag that I think a lot of people would enjoy using. Could hold whatever on a day trip. More and more people are bringing their own bags to the market these days, possibly also so in the US? With the mesh, a day swimming immediately comes to mind. People like LL. Bean would possibly carry it. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see something like that offered in their catalog....possibly with the option of monogramed initials, something that they currently offer on at least one of their totes.

The upside is considerable worldwide exposure with a huge mail/internet order company like that, if making money is something that interests you. Not trying to minimize the relationship with WesSpur, of course, just want to see a good product meet it's potential, if possible, and if the idea has appeal to you.
