The Movie/TV/New Releases Thread

For Paul, Ed and Stig.

I might watch it one day, he was a top driver that's for sure. I sort of lost interest after he died.

I never liked Senna. He was certainly not a gentleman, I think there were better drivers who just had more respect for their fellow competitors lives.

Thanks mate, to be honest I barely remember him, about the only thing I can recall is his crash and death. As for racing my mind makes me think he was skilled and an asshole on the track, not so unlike MS, but when you get paid to win, whatcha gonna do?

I laughed this weekend at DC's comment about a certain someone (Fernando) passing MS on the inside at one of the turns, something like *scottish accent* 'I have had the misfortune of trying to pass MS when he wasnt wanting me to do so, I ended up on the grass and didnt finish the race due to his impolitness" */scottish accent*. :D

Its one thing being an asshole on the track (think Alonso, Mika Hakkinen, Nigel Mansell, Prost etc) but Senna (and Schumacher) took it to another level, where they were quite happy to put their fellow competitors lives on the line to gain a place. AT least with Schumi its enjoyable watching him having to eat shit with every race now that he's got some serious competition.

Someone just told me about this movie. It's not new but looks good.

That is a very funny film. If you can get hold of a BBC series called "Operation Good Guys" it has nearly all the same cast members in. Worth watching if you can find it.

Thanks, I'll have a look for it. I've seen Ray Winstone in something before, I just can't remember what it was.

The same bloke recommended this, next on my list.

Watched "Arthur" the other night, nearly left half way.Waste of time IMO

No surprise there.

There's tree climbing in this... sort of.

I don't mean to bring up the whole illegal debate but it is interesting to me how fine of a line some folks chances for success or a better life are. If you lose one tool, one vehicle, you could be screwed.

This is new here, looks interesting. I might give the Coen Bros another try.

Watched this last night. Its had a slating, but I think a lot of people dont 'get' it. Subversive and visually arresting, the ending is like a bucket of ice cold water to the head. Incredible soundtrack too.

I heard that the first time, the 'sloop' sounds for the bloodletting were remarkable. I wondered what the sound techs sampled to get that sound.
