This just in..... 10.5" long, 4.75" wide at the edge, and 1 1/16" lift.
I bought them from a Co. called Harry J. Epstien lots of cool new old stock tools.
That's a pretty steep wedge...I would prefer less lift for that length, myself. But I would only pull out my razors if I had to drive open a closed up kerf with serious loading on it, so more MA is best for that scenario.
Not always. My boss at Timberland Tree Experts in New Jersey (my second job as a tree guy back in the early '80's) was missing a front tooth due to a steel wedge.
A felling wedge is one thing not to be confused with a splitting wedge .On the later I've had them kick back and smack me in the knee or shin bone .I've hit them with a chainsaw too .Cleans the cutters right off ,several of them .
