I knew some nice guard geese. They were a bit skittish not wanting to be picked up, but were otherwise docile to hold for transportation. They probably weren't effective at guarding, and would wander off.

I had a buddy at work get attacked by one working on a roof in the dead of winter, one of the funniest stories I've heard in a long time  It attacked from the air, flying head high right at him. He saw it coming because this wasn't the first "incident", so he just turned his back to it. "So it's biting my hardhat and hoodie, kicking me in the ass with its baby feet, and slapping my arms like it's trying to hug me" hahahahaha

My bud brought over his geese he was tired of. He said if you won't take them I will have to shoot them. We took them back to my pond where they would at least have a better chance at living. Next time I went back there a goose lowered his head and charged me. I gave it a boot in to the pond. Last time it tried attacking me.

We had them around quite a while. One survived for years till a 'yote had it for a meal. It liked men and hated woman. It would rub on our legs and hiss at woman.

I was idly poking around my amazon account, and got into the 'recommended for you' section. One of the top items was Antarctic krill...

Krill, eh? I'm almost tempted to get some. Pretty spendy, and I have no idea what I'd do it, but that's a weird and interesting thing to try.

I've been playing around with this app lately, thought it might be interesting for some android users...

I'm sure there's similar in the play store, but I don't use play, and this one doesn't have spyware. give it an accurate location, point it at the sky, and it'll tell you what stars you're seeing.

Dumb question... Is this normal?

My other arm looks about the same. It's from climbing Sunday. I tend to do everything little regard to cleanliness or personal protection on a minor level. I'm probably overly cautious with life support, but cuts, scrapes, bruises... is all fair game. I bulldoze my way through everything. You all get beatup regularly on the job?

Normal for me. I tend to still follow my USFS field work training/requirements for wearing long sleeved shirts when working on the property, or climbing specifically...but when I don't, that is what I end up looking like :).

I've been using an image host, old school style. I'm using postimages.org, but anything like that will work. Use img tags to wrap the image url and put it inline with the post.

Code:
Saying a bunch of stuff, here's a pic!

say some more stuff, or not...

My forearms are mostly unharmed, climbing chipping, hauling... because I wear all the time a pair of cushioned sleeves for the security against the chainsaw. It's the same concept as the chainsaw pants. They work wonderfully to protect my delicate skin from all the scratches and bruises.:D
Between the elbow and the shoulder, that's an other story. But this area is a little less exposed.

That's another reason I like cool weather. I'm armored up, and take less damage. My hands are cut to hell from staking pile. None of the cuts are bad, and only a couple drew blood in any meaningful way, but it's like a thousand paper cuts all over from digging around in woodchips to make room to set a point. I meant to wear leather shells the last time I went out, but the gun going down blew my cool, and I forgot about it.

Wow!(My hands are always intact. Probably because I always wear long-sleeved T-shirts... And I also think that trees in Russia are not so aggressive :)

I had a long sleeve shirt on, but I pulled the sleeves up cause I was hot :^D

I can't even say exactly how they got there. They just appeared, and I only noticed when I thought "Ouch!", and saw the mess.

My sister used to ask me how did you get that boo boo. I usually had no idea. You get used to a little pain and don't even remember. Reminds me of the time I had my ex digging for a sliver. I was watching TV and ignoring the little bit of pain till it wasn't a little bit anymore. She had dug a crater. She didn't feel a thing. Last time I asked her to do that.

My technique is to bore in with a straight pin and squeeze. For the type that goes in longitudinally, I use a pin, pick the skin up inline til I get enough uncovered to get tweezers on it to pull it out.
