Got outside with the Impact today. A little zeroing, then spinners at 57 yards. Too easy. Need to go down in the meadow and set up some targets out to 200. I know it's verified MOP (minute of pigeon) at 188. A friend took a woodchuvk at 186 this week. Same gun in .30.

Yeah that makes sense too, in my mind. Bright handheld flashlight for inspection and ascertaining intent. Gun rail light and dropped flashlight if it ever turns into GO time.

Been wanting to do it for at least 10 years, finally signed up for the process of getting pistol permit,I'm stoked.
If it all works out, I think it would be fun and worthwhile to do one of those pistol courses like I posted in the random vid thread.
Afaik, there are no new guns available for sale around here but my gunsmith can hook me up no problemo with something used and good.

My view reloading today at my buds. Whole lawn was full. But by the time i got my phone out of the truck...... the buck was where my truck was parked. Nice 2x2 drinking out of a bird bath. He took off in offence of me going to the truck. One of yhe does follows the wife of my bud out to the garden for apples.

Been hunting deer with black powder rifles for over 27 years.
I recently acquired a Safari Arms Ltd. (Toronto Ontario), .58 cal. Express Double Rifle.
It's very similar to the Pedersoli Kodiak sXs rife but built for the Canadian market. (also made in Italy).
Will be my new "blocking gun" for deer drives.

Any issues with lead splatter coming back at you shooting the steel at 10 yds?
Never had an issue we shoot at a friend's
Range the past 25 year's
We shoot idpa plates on chains or a plate rack at 15yds
I angled my target back
We all wear shooting glasses of course.
