Going rock climbing is effectively steep 'rucking'.

Lake Cushman, WA.

I spent a lot of time at cushman as a kid. Whereabouts?

The far end of upper Lake Cushman, along the road. There are 3 bolted sport routes out of the water or seasonally dry ground. The rest is above the road, currently about 50 routes.

There is a bridge across the lake a bit farther along, toward Lightning Peak, a steep trail hike.

huge boulder in the lake up there. can go under it in winter and jump in the water off it in summer.

I've been hitting the trail regularly. Stamina is coming back very fast. I engr to start HIIT again, but I've got to get some different shoes. Double knee Carhartts and 8" Chippewas are not ideal for trail running.
