We have an outfit that uses one mounted on a crane. That thing can reach about 100 feet up, cut big branches and tops off and hold on to the stuff untill it is on the ground. They mainly use it for topping lombardy poplars in wind breaks.
That thing is simply impossible too beat for a climber.
