I mean, it’s long Kavey, but it doesn’t cascade like a chestnut waterfall across your broad manly shoulders like the knot guy.
You started something, spoke it into existence. I have been ordered to visit a barbershop. I have an appointment at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon.

Kathryn has spoken, there is no higher power to appeal to. I lost the battle before it had begun.

Pictures or it didn't happen.

It's all relative. A couple weeks ago my buddies 6 yo girl said I had a long beard. (And a widdle cah, I have a Golf, but that's another story). I was confused, as I had just clipped it off close earlier in the afternoon. Then I noticed my buddy was clean-shaven, which was odd. It turns out he doesn't get a goodnight kiss if he's whiskery.

Only takes once getting it caught in an ascender/decender, belay devise or prussik to make a believer of you in the grooming arts....
Then, I guess that I'm a little on the stubborn side. :D
On the other hand, I move quite slowly on the rope, so I usually have enough time to react and not put myself in a dire situation.
The first beard's hair stuck in the descender in quite a while is my remainder that's about time to trim it. The problem is the delay before I actually take the trimmer. I can push it for months and as you can guess, some other hairs are pulled out in the meantime.

I'd swear MB had a "Tautline Appreciation Thread" here somewheres but it don't show up with Search.

I use the tautline fairly often with cordage in non climbing situations as a quickly tied, easily adjustable loop, with 1 up/2 down. But when a lot of force is applied to it, it holds but binds up via the lowest turn getting pulled on top of the rest of the hitch, and unbinding it is a pita.

Lately I've been having good luck with 1up/5 down- when the force is applied, the bottom turn still gets pulled atop the adjacent upper turns but the the expanse of 5 turns is too much to allow it to grab the 1 up/top turn, so it doesn't bind and continues to work properly.
