All Gear Tech Cord

got some all gear tech cord 8mm last night and spliced and eye n eye. I used sampsons directions (mostly) for this one.

questions: anyone splicing this and how are you going about it?

All Gears Splicing directions look radically different for an eye and eye, is it ok to use sampsons method (locking brummels and tapered bury) for this cord?

It's a locking Brummel!

Anyone ever think the splice might of been thought of before the cord?

Flushcut is right. You WILL die if you climb on that.

Just kidding. I can't see for sure, the color is too bright! but is the eye on the right also a locking brummel? I sure hope it is.

I personally don't like All-Gear's directions for tech cord. It yields an ugly and bulky finished product. I think what you did is better.

How long are the tails inside?

Nick, Both eyes are locking brummel. I burried the tails 3 in. past center on both sides. on the 6 or so inches of overlap I removed another 6 strands from each side so the thickness would be even. The eye n eye is about 34 in. long and the burries are about 19-20 in. or so. Hope that makes sense.

ps.- I think the color is dead sexy.

Sounds perfect.

So how does it climb? I have one of the oooooold AG Tech Cords and it spliced very nicely.
