The ratatouille is out of the freezer, so it has lost some of it's lucre. When it is harvest time in my poly tunnel, I do a load of spaghetti/pizza sauce and ratatouille and freeze it. I'll do a pic, next time I make it.

I made this today. Changed it a bit, because I don't do eggs. It was a hit with the mail order bride. Good thing, I haven't been able to do chores for 7 weeks, at least I can redeem myself by cooking something good.

Kale goes good with a lot of things. It was the plant that kept the Vikings from dying of scurvy, because it is so extremely frost tolerant. That along with Brussel sprouts and leeks are what we had before importing veggies was a thing. The old sorts were way hardier than what is grown today...

I made my wife's favourite today. Mashed potatoes and a mushroom-cream sauce. She has an old Swiss potato masher that makes it wonderfully smooth.
