I like it but wood that size is chipper food not firewood.

I think it has its place. Not in our industry thats for sure! However people who actually see wood as an asset not a liability could utilize it. My buddy Dave the machinist just had his property logged and he burns everything down to 1" even though he knows I will give him all the split firewood he needs. I guess if you have spent decades looking for firewood it would irk him to see his own trees going to waste.

I burn tiny stuff in my owb, but I'm cutting it 3 1/2 feet long. I'll take stuff 1.5" if I'm cleaning up stuff around the yard. If I had a lot of it to cut up, I would put the buzz sawn on an old Farmall and go to town.
