Looks like it's stacked. Just like doing a Lincoln log house, but with fancier joints. Not sure how you get the joints so perfect, unless it's just as time consuming as it looks.
Got the daughters breakfast bar installed, 2nd coat of finish put on, it'll be satin when it dries. Made from red oak, golden oak stain.
Pardon the mess, still waiting for the backsplash to get tiled.
I did a little fooling around in the shop today. Testing out a chain drive on my router sled. Hope it will speed things up, or at least easier on my back pushing and pulling the router sled.
I milled some willow last year, pulled it out of the kiln. I milled it 4" thick, came out 3 1/4". Doesn't look bad. In the old country it was called gypsy wood (good for nothing wood). I have some smaller pieces that I am going to sand and see how it takes oil finish.
