Back from Chicago. Instead of a high of close to freezing, it's going to be 50s and dry today... arriving back to a broken tree laid up into another conifer for a likely new customer.

A way to slide into a job instead of having maintenance day. Nothing too pressing.

Decent today but now starting to rain again and not supposed to stop until early Friday morning. I am at that point in life that getting a rain day will not break my heart or my wallet. Being off would be a welcomed mental health day. I need a break

I woke up to 3" of slush. Scraped off what I could. It hit 46 and full sun. A lot of melting happened today. Rain the next two days, and above freezing, into the 60's even, for the next week.

Two weeks ago it was all rain and cold, miserable days, the rivers were overflowing. Suddenly it turned full sun. Since, it's a magnificent weather. It's still cold in the morning but becomes quickly hot enough to take a good sweat all day long.
The last day of rain, the weeping willows were the only ones showing a greenish crown and the wild plumbs barely opened their flowers. In just two days with the heat, the life exploded, flowers and baby leaves everywhere. Amazing change.

We call that “forget your sweatshirt on the job weather”.
