DAY ONE...Tonight

A few severe storms are possible this evening. Locally damaging
wind gusts, large hail, and a brief tornado are possible.

Special Marine Warnings are possible for the waters this evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

A Gale Watch is in effect Wednesday for all of the waters
Wednesday morning through Wednesday evening.

Strong winds are possible Wednesday into Wednesday evening across
the outlook area, causing the potential for isolated instances of
wind damage. Gale-force winds may continue into early Thursday
over the waters.

Sounded like the world was ending a little bit ago. Got some loud thunder and pounding rain.

Monday looks interesting. Had my ass parked inside all day. Fire going, and listening to christmas music, so the weather's mostly irrelevant to me. I guess I should've been organizing my pine wood, but wasn't motivated. Maybe tomorrow.

Woodstove's struggling to keep up. I went to bed last night at ~2am after falling asleep in the chair, and the fire was still going. Wokeup this morning, and the thermostat was at 50°, then dropped to 49° by the time I made coffee. It was 48° by the time I got the fire going, and it's now at 50° after burning all day. Probably a few degrees cooler in my bedroom. House is too long. Need a stove at the other end.

24⁰ and a few flurries. Calm to hurricane force wind. At least that's what it sounds like out there. I need to run the sawmill, but it's only getting colder. 18⁰ and windy for a high tomorrow. :|:

They are now in the “Evacuation Warning Zone” and three friends have evacuated already in AltaDena due to the Eaton Fire. We’ve hiked Eaton Canyon multiple times..

Update: winds shifted and they are out of warning zone by a few blocks ( the “O” on the map). Friends evacuated are the three arrows.

The family left and are at a friend’s place in Burbank. Karen just sent an update:

“Joe and Rebecca are the only people that are still on Douglas Street according to Dylan. They said the air quality is very bad. Heather and Dylan are probably gonna go back to the house today and get food and the other car and maybe some other supplies. Not sure when we will be back there.”
