Had some chicken we did not need to cook at camp. But everyone liked my pepper steak hogies. Commented on how close the taste was to fajitas.
So chicken fajitas tonight it is!

Meat ball subs. Had some left over sauce and rolls from camp. Some sausage too. Add ground beef and spices. Mozzarella cheese. Yum.

Made two different batches of black bean chili. One with left over grilled pork and hambuger for the kids and I. One with out pork for Katy. Sensative tum tum.

Family came up from SanDiego to Shaver Lake. So we met up. We took two camp sites, 5 of them a vacation rental. Set up a camp kitchen and ate well.

Just finished din, din up here. Went with shrimp scampi without the usual pasta or rice. Broccoli instead... trying to cut down on the carb intake.

Kids wanted mac and cheese, so I obliged. Katy can't eat it, so I made her some pan seared salmon and kept some cheese sauce aside for broccoli. Salmon was a gift from my buddy that went fishing in Alaska and was nice enough to save me some

Little bit of yardbird tonight with spaghetti squash, spinach and a bit of rice.

M made her quiche with mushroom crust. Sweet red peppers, green onions, fresh basil, cottage cheese and mozzarella. Excellent, as always. I steamed the very last of the gardens' string beans, and added a sliced ripe avocado for a side.

Indian here as well tonight. Madras curried chicken with brown basmati rice and some purple broccoli.

Haven't grown the purple before but I'm a bit sick of the green and it's not bad.

Batchelor night tonight. Took some leftover black bean chili. A couple of left over hamburger. Toasted a bun. Served open face with chopped onion, shredded cheese and added some cilantro. Chili size.

My wife's sister is visiting from Schweiz, so I cook for 2 ladies now.
Ran into a bunch of Craterellus cornucopioides mushrooms in the woods today.
Horn of plenty in English, I think.
Would match the Greek cornus= horn and copioies, same as copious.
Found out they are called Totentrompeten= trumpets of the dead, in German ( Most likely because of the color..........................black!)

So I made risotto from the trumpets of the dead
