What Did Ya'll Have For Dinner Tonight?

Eating from the garden these days, mostly.

I made a batch of fettuccine, three dinner's worth for the freezer, one for tonight. M graced that with fresh basil pesto...we have also been vacuum sealing and freezing a TON of this over the last month or so. Best year ever for basil.

The side was fresh tomatoes and zucchini quickly sauted in a skillet, with fresh oregano, for the win!

Best part of the year for sure, when one can eat from the garden.

It is coming to an end here.
Melons, cucumbers and eggplant are played out, basil and tomatoes are still going on, but petering out.
Of course all the root stuff will be good for another long while.

Been a fine year for basil here as well.
Best year ever for tomatoes.
All the guys at work and all my neighbours have been living off my surplus.

I just had a client show up with money from last saturdays little"travel fund" job.
So I asked her if she wanted some tomatoes and sent her home with a colorful selection.

Took my mother to dinner. I got crab soup, a pit beef sandwich, and some burnt ends to take home. It was all really good, but I burned my mouth on my soup, and it's shredded. Already ate most of the burnt ends. That's my favorite part.

Sis stopped over with some cake...so I decided chocolate ranch cake & a quart of milk was a fine dinner for a Saturday.

Given the quality of your produce.....I would caution against too much adultetation.

Beef, for me, is pepper, onion, garlic and fire love. I omit the the salt. Seems to never need it with the right marbling.

I'm not sure what dinner was tonight. I had a pretzel roll with mustard, kimchi, hummus and chips, and pumpkin spice cookies spread out over a few hours.

Chicken tacos here . Made a couple tostada shells for Katy as an option. She likes them more like a salad usually.
