And yet, beautiful food always tastes better!)
We eat with our eyes first, then our nose, then our hands, and finally our mouth. It is the journey, start to finish that truly makes a meal!

But to be fair, presentation has always been so much garnish in my views. I have found the above colloquialism to be false. I tend to eat with my nose first, savoring the scent of fine cooking in all its subtlety.

The sense of smell is the one most closely tied to memory. Thus, ones favorite meal fills the kitchen and the house with a certain joy, which is deep seated, individual, and pure.

There's something about the smell of onions, quietly cooking in butter, the foundation of so many delicious dishes, that immediately makes me hungry and signifies an excellent and hearty meal to come.

And yet split pea soup is ugly but tastes amazing. Old adage is never judge a book by its cover.

Onions and bacon cooking together is divinity on earth and the closest thing to being kissed by an angel.
