On a diet Dave?

A post like that kinda pisses me off, Jim.

Why is it that every time an American doesn't eat half a cow and a ton of potatoes fried in enough oil to keep our houses warm for the winter is supposed to be on a diet?

Not all of us are on a "trying to join the other 65% obese Americans" eating disorder.

Or in my case" Trying to join the other 60% fat Danes" disorder.

We haven't quite caught up with you yet.

Don't worry, we'll get there eventually, as will the rest of the world's population.

If a bear going into hibernation is " Morbidly obese" so are you.

Nope, Dude, you are just fat.

Need more veggies in your diet and less salt in your conversation.

I live in a bit of a fruit and vegetable desert.

I hope to change that next year with a hoop house. The US dept of Ag has agreed to spend some of their tax payers hard earned dollars building me a hoop house.

Socialism!

Hey, I cooked some red cabbage the other day.

I was a medium head of red cabbage, sliced up and sauteed with a little butter.

Later I added some balsamic vinegar and sugar and some caraway seeds. A little salt and pepper.

No meat in that at all.

EDIT!!!!!

Going to try some Haluski here in a couple days.

Tobacco is the worst thing you can do to our self.
Tha 3 weeks I spend in the intensive lung disease unit , back when I almost died, convinced me of that.
Now you just need to drop the weight.
Man, that made it sound easy, didnt it.

Best I can do.
Saying: "Better be at your ideal weight when I come visit, or I'll slap you around" probably wouldn't work.

Sometimes life just sucks.

Going wheat free and low-carb...the pounds come off by themselves.
That Keto thing you are doing looks delicious Brett!

I seem to have recaptured the fun of cooking again, tonight was homemade celery soup, fresh garlic, onion, a ton of celery saute, then add veg stock, a pinch of nutmeg and salt, simmer, then smoosh it all with a stick blender...added some cheese bits and it was yummy.

I don't really eat anything with wheat in it, just some wholemeal bread sometimes and a burger roll on Sundays.

I've been making celery & carrot soup with onion and garlic with a few spices, it's pretty good this time of year. Use a stick blender as well with a bit of cream or yogurt

Just a roo burger again tonight. Got a new cast iron frying pan to try out.
