Wondering what ideas you folks have here.

Ive been thinking of tire boots but haven't really found a decent looking one, maybe someone here has a good one to recommend.

The last two guys who tried to mess with my truck got chewed on by Sam, my dog.
He stays in the truck bed at work and near the truck at home.
Those two hopeful fellas showed up at 12.30 PM, but Sam is a light sleeper, so that didn't work so well.

Trust me, that tracking is way cheaper than a dog and it won't crap in your yard. Plus the tracking device with never wander away from your truck to sniff another tracking device's ass.

Lol!

Just joking Stig. A great dog is hard to find.

That tracker doesn't work for a hill of beans under a heavy canopy, or a steel roof. Two pretty common ways to hide stolen goods.
This is from folks that run them on moto's out in the clear blue sky. Not mounted hid under a vehicle.

Hide it on top of the vehicle ;)

If they can get a truck from an open area to a garage, without being open to the sky, good for them. I doubt anyone EVER steals a truck used for tree work by placing it inside a steel container and transporting it or :?

The most common way to move stolen heavy trucks is under the open sky. Good thing is this device does not need a clear, blue sky. It doesn't even need a clear sky.

Well we can drive all over the blue ridge mountains and have 20-40 mile gaps in our tracks depending on weather and tree cover.
Pretty big area to go looking for your truck before it gets parted out for scrap.

So buyer beware is my stance.

I have a tracking device on the chipper.
That works real well.

Yes spot tracking, doesn't seem to matter which generation of spot for the issue either.

Hmm... good to know. I plan on using my SPOT in more places than just west TX and NM. I have had good luck there even in mixed weather but come to think of it, I have never used it under tree canopy.

I've never even taken the keys out of my ignitions. I've never heard of someone having a vehicle stolen here. We have tons of pedophiles on the news here. I'd rather worry about vehicle theft to be truthful. Atleast people recover from that at some point.

My saw cabinets have bends in them but that was prior to my ownership and could have happened in a place far away. Or here. Saws grow legs here if you let them.

Can't remember the name.
The insurance company made me put it on when my old chipper got stolen. ( Sam and I were at work!)
The chipper is parked under a tin roof and I can still call it up and get a precise location.
Unfortunately the thieves haven't been back to steal the new one yet.
I keep hoping for that.
