Are any of you near the PNW entering the climbing competition in Medford this May 12th? I thought the flyer heading "Tree Carnival" was a unique choice, but there's going to be other stuff happening. Damien Carre with Expedition Old Growth may be bringing gear to rig for trees to climb too.
The city arborist for the City of Medford would be a good person to contact. The city arborist is Adam Airoldi / Parks Dept.
I recall there being a limit of 30, and heard 15 have entered as of this week. Some climbers will probably come from northern CA, OR, and Washington.This will be a 1st for this kind of event in southern Oregon, and I think they hope it goes good enough to continue in the future.
