The Official Work Pictures Thread

My guess before he picked it up was 3-4 ton on the piece loaded in the trailer.
Really is suprising how that thing even stood up.
Every lead had been topped. That larger limb cut off the side at one point as you knew it ewent over the house. Planted next to a coy pond (no longer there) in a rock pile basically. On the end of a leach field. I can just imagine what was used to help a root issue.
She had called a "tree expert" when she purchased the property and was told the tree was quite "healthy". I have a feeling I know who it was. 😉 🤣

Meh...probably worried about sudden limb drop?
Cuts look well placed, they'll be fine.

We had a lot of sudden limb drop last week in the high heat in my hood, including my back yard!

Going to finish out a black oak Monday that dropped one leader (about 2/3s of the tree) onto a propane tank. Broke the valve and pipe. Sudden limb drop.
Fire dpt came out and secured the tank. Had to use an air bag to upright it. Could have been an explosive situation. Situation was found by one of the adult children coming home from work.

It has to be contained to be a major boom. If it settled in a hollow, then got ignited it might make a mild boom. Gasoline will do that. I guess a massive leak, like at a plant would go boom. Would not want to test the theory.

I never knew, unlike propane, natural gas is lighter that air til I worked installing a natural gas stove at my sisters. She swore she smelled gas in the kitchen. I soaped all the joints. No leaks. Finally found a pinhole in a chinese cast elbow.

finished removing a half dead pine and some pruning… it was fun lowering all the larger wood into the dump-truck.
