Task at hand today. Prune Valley Oak away from house and propane tank that the last break out smashed. Remove what is left of the black oak that is tangled and leaning into the Valley oak. HO clean up. HO will fell spar. Rigged the Black oak leader after the brush was absent in one piece with the HOBBS, a tag line and the continuous rope puller to pull it away from the other tree. could have touched the house had it gone wrong. 20250811_092502.jpg 20250811_092506.jpg 20250811_150250.jpg 20250811_150257.jpg 20250811_150303.jpg

If the homeowner is gonna drop that tree down beside the house, those limbs may cause the trunk to flop over on to the porch stairs at least.

One thing I gotta say is don’t ever let the HO do any kind of cutting that can even remotely come back at me. Flop and leave jobs I will go in and cut out any bind that could get them into trouble just so I don’t have to worry about getting sued for some stupid reason.

They are cleaning up the ground before they fell it. They had that area all mucked out and blackberries included, before we got there this morning. They also have a back hoe to pull the logs out with. Like they did before.
I did offer to drop it if they needed me to. Not their first rodeo. It's going to go right into the creek as it leans heavy. one of those homeowners that is not made of money, but recognizes value, and listens.
