The Official Work Pictures Thread

It looks like its becoming a huge asset to you guys!

Here are some pics from a maple prune. The bucket did one side and I climbed the other. It was in decline so we only removed deadwood.

Nice pics Nick, is that poison ivy your climbing on? How do you like it?

I like it a lot. It handles well and isnt TOO stretchy. As I climb SRT longer I find myself wanting no stretch but I feel like PI is a good medium.

I would likely still be compelled to try a different rope to find something with a little less stretch, but of the ropes available through the Big Green I think PI is the best choice, and its free so.....

EDIT: its the HiVee... standard PI is a darker, forest like green I believe.

Storm damage today. One half of the hemlock came down in the wind. It was cabled too. Brought in my bucket guy. Opted out of climbing this in the brutal wind. Don't jump all over his lack of PPE. I don't employ him.

In some areas they are small. In other neighborhoods and areas they are bigger. We have some big trees, here and there.

The raising of a customers bat house. He built it from recycled wood.. Thing weighed about 600 lbs. I was gonna do this job gratis as his wife will be watching animals when we go on vacation. Used the mini, levers and rope to get it in the hole and plumb. Crazy scary raising something that top heavy over your head. He is pouring the concrete around it tonight. He slipped a couple of C notes for doing it. We slide by this afternoon after a pondo TD. I'll see if I get any pondo pictures later..
Nannna nnnnannnna nnnannnna nnnnannna nnnnnnnnnnaaaaaaaaa Bat House!!!!

I guess you are right, I don't really dislike bats. I have seen one bat that acted highly unusual and was checked and found to have rabies. It flew around during the day until being shot.

Bats and swallows.. You see the difference on our porch between having them and not. Serious insect eaters. The bugs that gather at the porch light are of significant lower numbers when they are around.

Pondo with dozer blight and electrical attachments.... Speed lined the brush to a landing down the hill and across the driveway. Then threw 25 foot of top and then the log from about 10 feet off the deck, leaving a pole for the wires.

The bat house is of a different design than what I've seen. Nice job!
A couple shots of the live oak that was growing through the roof. I showed up and contractors had removed the roof and half of the deck, apparently it will be getting a whole new roof and porch. It made my life much easier.

Even had a go ahead from owner and contractor to take a risk on blowing out the big wood without damaging the steps. I got a little concrete but steps remained intact.

Then got to do a split leader hickory removing the leader over the roof with a large wound before the new roof in rather unsettling wind gusts.

Nice job Joel.. Nice you had less deck to work around as well.. Gotta love a cooperative HO :)

Jay... Lilly loves the zip line stuff... pretty much considers the gear jewelry... I guess if I think about it... for a tree guy ... it makes sense... Jewelry...

Like today, we do these jobs on a regular basis, removing Red Pines in mass. Long reach with the jib on, but still around a half ton of lift at the farthest point. Buck the old brains out in a day is usually how it goes, but not complaining
