Cold temperatures. Today we have to work in the tree right at the nest. I have a bunch under the siding on my new place. Already killed 100+.

Ash that had fallen into a house badly damaging the roof. We got in a timber lorry to help.
Insurance job, nice day, nice earner.
First pic lifting a branch out of the garden over a wall. The others just bucking and lifting.
The saw is an old 288 (more than 15 years minimum) just brilliant.

That looked a bit of a lump Mick.

Another day for me deadwooding a mature maple in the city centre. Light thin, deadwood and weight reduction on the limb over the road. It was previously brace and looking in bad shape. They almost wanted to tell, but we removed a fair bit to alleviate for the damage.

Would have been a shame to feel the tree as the rest was in pretty good vigour. Got another Norwegain Maple to remove tomorrow in the city centre.

It is a cool tree.
I would about give my right arm for a self loader like that local, Mick. So much wood needs moved right now. Hiring a bud with an excavator for a 35 tree job in Nov.
