Additionally, half as much rope to tend and restack into a rope bag on a saddle.

Choke or clove hitch your rope anywhere on the tree.

3:1 to return from limb walks, with just one biner (some drag), or a biner pulley, or a revolver.

It was only a matter of time before Reg brought it up, ha. I worked briefly for Brian the Bastard, who was an old retired copper, used to do treework for release. Anyway, he used to sing along to Barry White on the radio, really badly, all the time, made me cringe, and he also liked to do things totally backwards, like not parking his firewood next to a pile of wood, but 100 feet away, then carry by hand each piece. He was mental. He also liked rigging down tiny bits of wood just for the hell of it, IN FIELDS! Ha whatever. So I think thats where it came from. Im sure Reg will have more juicy info lol

Today....four firs to strip and fell, nothing too tricky, 20 odd cube of chip, ie 4 truck loads, I per tree, there's some material on firs, branch after branch after branch. Lay the butts on the floor, timber lorry to collect.

The power broom made its debut, it's going to save a lot of pain at the end of the day.

Just a couple from my job today. Zip line really works nice for white pine. I could've just stripped it out but those limbs shatter no matter how they land, except on the zip line. We did two of those sappy bastards today.
