The Official Work Pictures Thread

Thanks for saying, Deva. By the time I retire, I hope to have a quarter of the skills as some really good tree folks.

Today we reduced and retopped a bunch of trees. Mostly just mincing in place. Used a redirect and the truck to bring a couple very full, with extensions, arbor trolley loads up a steep hill. When resetting the rope for the next 40' pull, the branch tips held the AT in place.

The triangle in the handle provides a good pull height when power pulling. The drag of branch tips out wide stabilized the load.

Backcut under the apex when pushing low on the tree. I was taught that on a lot clearing job when I was 15 or so. Then reminded of it when I put a tree on top of a skidder I was pushing the tree over with 11 years later.

Updated our company pics and started our pink breast cancer awareness month today. Haven't posted in this thread for awhile so here's a few for fun

Carl, looking good and very efficient. What's the pole like affair attached to the end of the excavator for lifting rounds?

We call it the jib. It gives me ~29' of horizontal reach and a little less vertically. Full out over the blade I can lift 1klbs+.

That reminds me, I have another video to put together using the jib... the same job where the excavator hood got smashed.

Homeowner's plan is to install Solar Panels - tall trees close to the house must go.

It comes down to putting the tree into the truck...

Goal is to maximize lumber value to the mill, 33' sections are ideal, 17' also fine.

Trees located 62'74' distance from center pin.
