Today I cut down 3 poplars and 1 oak -
My favorite set of saws for sawing from a car tower. That black screen on the Stihl 260 is a great thing!)

I just had a friend asking me why his trees died after they were “pruned”.

Different trees, par for the course down here.

We got to the removal today

And this happy little hole in another tree yet to be cleaned up, maybe Monday weather pending.

A gratuitous stump pic And a spar that needed persuaded over the other day No pics from the crane work today but I did the rigging and cutting. When Rick (rental crane op) and I are teamed up it’s like watching a ballet (as one property owner stated). Rick also let me know that if I ever get tired of where I’m at , he’s got a crane seat with my name on it.

More oaks today. Tightish drop zone. The right lead I topped out at around 70’ and it measured 14” in diameter. It’s a big red oak for our area.

Rajan we caught that on 5/8 stablebraid. Well more like a well controlled crash.

Started cleaning up around those palms in 30mph wind. Got a reminder to watch out for rattling snakes. Gave me quite the start.

Dumped some palm, delivered some bonfire wood.

40mph headwind no good, going the other way, good.

I sawed down a birch tree today. Lots of rigging.

That was a handsome tree. Why the removal? Guessing too messy.

There is too much debris on this birch tree - leaves and seeds. In addition, the roots began to damage the tile covering.

Rigging all that down looks like a huge pain. Simply felling it would be fun. I don’t do much tight resi.

One pigeon flew away. One did not, wrong side of the tree.

All limb tied together like velcro. Had to cut them in half and rip apart with cable.
