The dogs are bored with us being at home over x-mas instead of going to work in the woods.
They are turning into a pair of total couch potatoes.
It is an old couch, that they are allowed to use. Normally I don't let them up in the furniture.

For anyone who has ever loved a dog before and had to say goodbye to their best friend.

Welllll, the joys of dog ownership. I took my two mutts with me today to my old place to pick up some crap that I have to get out before the tenants move in. Tanky, the young one, puked in the back of the pick-up on the way there, had to clean it up before I could load everything. Then he puked again, twice, in the truck on the way home. Yet another reason to not have carpet in a truck. Poor guy just does not travel well.

I have a chihuahua/rat terrier mix,i found him in the woods outside my uncle's property in 05,his name is bub.If i can figure out how to post pics,i'll put a pic of him up and some work pics.

We have a thread in the Announcements section with picture posting help.

If that doesn't get you going then just ask, someone will point you in the right direction.

Does your dog look something like this?

Well Justin, that is one of the dubious joys of big dogs. The amount of barf and other exhaust.
Bet that almost made you wish for a chihuahua, didn't it.

Anyone else deal with seizures with there dog? What did you do? I really don't want her to get sucked into the meds, but it might just come to that.

Our old black lab, Jet had seizures. They were scary at first, but usually were a month or more apart. Having so many animals (mostly moo cows) I'm pretty picky about what I bring them in for. Figured 'simple seizures' were in the category of better to stay ignorant, or it could get prohibitively expensive.

We just rode them out, making sure he wasn't anywhere dangerous at the time. It was like a light switch after he was 'over' one....back to normal like nothing had happen. Pathetic looking during one though. I don't believe they had any serious impact on the quality of his life though.

Now I get to worry about my German Shepherd instead. His hips are giving out, and his eyes are clouding over.

Here's my RedBone hound. Bowzer's his name, he's around 10 years old now and can still out do most younger dogs in the woods. His downfall I'm afraid will be coyotes. He hates the damn things and will go after them whenever he hears them. One day he may just be gone, after all he is getting older. I can't bring myself to keep him chained or caged. When I do he just lays down and pouts.
