Drove up towards Sonoma to look at this red heeler, named penny.

Hoping to pick her up tommorow for good, free kennel too.

The dogs finally shed the last of the winter fur, so we celebrated by giving them both a bath.
The amount of fur, those two shed, could fill about a dozen large pillows. At least that is how it feels, when I spend the spring vacuuming up doghairs.
They do look nice, when they are clean, don't they?
White instead of palomino.

Little Pen, I call her.

She's super wary and still adjusting.
Super smart and obedient.

The previous owners had two of these female heelers.
Once they reached 3 year's old each one wanted to be queen.
So they fought quite a bit, drawing blood.

Little Penny put a hurting on the other bigger dog.
So, they decided to get rid of one of them.

It was either me or the pound.

It's a little different from the fields of Petaluma to the Urbanscape of San Fricisco.

Lot's of tricks, treats and walks.

She'll be able to come to work with me too and hang out in the truck in the tree yard.

sounds like your on the right track Deva. Lots of attention, all the time. Some toys would help also.

Dogs are alot of work and most people seem to think they can just leave the dog alone in the yard while working.
Dogs are pack animals and need to be a part of the pack. That includes knowing their place in the pack.

Give 'em a job and make them a part of your life, not an accessory.

hmmm? A job you say.

She came to work today and met two of the other dogs.

She's pretty shy. Barely jumped outta the truck to meet them.

8-12 she sat in the truck, went for a walk at lunch, then after work went on about a 4 mile run down the beach.

She's quite the little jogger.

Now she's sleeping after her big monday.

Thanks Frans.

Dogs are the best. We taught Thundy to swim last saturday finally. He was always really leery of the water last year so I never forced him.

Congrats Deva.

My former partner came over to show us his new pup.
Once she found out that the big dogs were actually very nice and gentle, she had a great time.

yeah, I know. Tried this morning and didn't have much time. Not sure if the problem is that I have a Mac or that the pics are jpeg or something else. I.m sort of 'puter illiterate. I'll try reading some things and see ir I can make something appear in the near future.

Managed to get picture into profile and then add link to it in forum but am at a loss on how to get picture to just show up on forum.

When composing your post, scroll down to the 'manage attachments' link and click it. A small window will open. Follow the prompts from there. :)
