I've gotten compliments on my writing too, and that's appalling. I can't imagine the horrors those people have seen to consider my writing good. "Legible" is about the best you can say of it imo.
I read and write cursive just fine, actually prefer it. Pisses me off to no end to work with these “educated” college grads that can’t even print let alone write cursive. I prefer to communicate with engineers on paper so when jobs go sideways I have proof who it’s going to cost. E-mail was the best thing to come along for me.
I have heard various theories of why it was outlawed in the first place. One theory is that the cotton industry lobbied to get it out outlawed because it was a better and successful competitor
The other theory I heard was that it was easier to tax alcohol then to find and try and tax people growing patches of weed here and there
Finally an answer to all those "is there a fire close by?", or "Where is all this smoke coming from", on Facebook from people that just won't research for themselves.
I watched a fellow fly over 20 feet into air. Sitting on top of the tire and rim, rim pointing down, luckly. The snap ring let go and the tire, rim and fellow went flying. He didn't get at all. Damn lucky.
