Thinking of selling my in the box 200t. I don't think i could ever use it, not sure why.

Ebay has them priced from 1200-1600. I cannot imagine someone paying that. Does anyone know some one who has?

Any ideas what i should price it at? I was thinking of throwing it on there. I really need a new mid size saw. Judging by the used prices, i do think its worth more than the msrp price.

$701!

And yes, it's worth what someone will pay. It is sad to see what folks are asking for them on eBay right now...

I bought one a year and a half ago for $575. To bad they only had the one. I was lucky to find it still on the shelf. The John Deere dealers handle Stihl. You would think it would have been snatched up.

It's been good to me 'cept when the flippys don't want to open and close. I guess the trick is to get another set and rotate them so the O-ring swelling goes down. I guess you could rotate the O-rings but a set of spare caps is probably a good idea.

You could have anew one!

I can "have" a new one? :D (So kind of you!!!) I'll PM my address right to you. Heck, I'll even pay shipping!

I guess I'll pass for now. I would prolly pay $701 for it. Don't really need it, but I'm a sucker for buying up stuff.

Brendon, I think that you can test the waters at ebay by keeping a price that it has to reach or it won't go to the highest bidder. The "reserve price", or something? Let people battle it out to no avail. Guess you could maybe contact the highest bidder if you liked his amount, and then arrange a sale. I think it might say that there is a reserve price that hasn't been reached, might keep people reaching.

You can buy those rings in bulk for almost nothing .I had the metric size but misplaced it .I get mine at work for exactly nothing .

The problem with ethanol-gas and the o-ring is that there are some by-products which act like (or are) solvents. They penetrate deep inside he rubber and make the O-ring swell, locking it in the hole or avoiding it to come back in.
When the weather is hot, the phenomenon is very quick, say only one day.

I don't hardly use a saw anymore, but I sure regret selling my 200t! You just can't find anything with that kind of power in such a small package! I didn't have much choice at the time as we needed money now for bills, and I'd never use it for what it was meant for anyway. But I'd sure explore other options to come up with the funds for another saw before I let it go, especially if you plan on staying in tree work. Just my .02.

Bren, I have one 200T and 200 rear handle NIB as well....I wouldnt let em go for anything under 1K...ebay er's are getting $1200 for one....it is what it is.

I e got it on there starting bid 1000. Keep getting emails, people are nuts. Ive got one guy trying to get for 1200 off ebay. Lol

Ive got it on the buzz and get offers of 500.

As I've said before the tree guys are buying them up as they come up .Tom got a clean used one the end of summer for $250 and shelved it for later use .

It seems they panic because they aren't made any more and they go bonkers just like the end run of the 440 Stihls and 372 Huskys .

I'll tell ya what even one with a cooked top end if it's complete might not be a bad deal if the price is right .I think the after marrket top end kits are around a hundred and change .New OEM seals and bearings another 60 .So for less than two bills if you can turn a wrench they can be resurrected .

I've done enough of them so for me it's easy peasey .If anybody wants I can walk you through it step by step with pictures .

Oh they were 600ish when they still sold them .A straight flop on a tree about 100 .

One big plump gent named O'Brian was a stumper with a Vermeer .How much? He'd roll his big head back and say --a hundered bucks bucks ,two stumps --a hundered bucks .His motto was no stump too plump .He was a hoot .
