I started out with a 20" bar on 70cc saws and later went to 24" to increase reach/lessen bending.

I get 95% of all my trees here in CT with 24".

I'd rather fell a large diameter tree with a quarter cut and a 24"bar than bust out a 28" or 32" or 42" bar.

If you do, get the light bar for sure. I don't like the 25" ES at all on the 362. Makes it way too nose heavy. Even a light bar probably won't balance great, but it'll be better than the ES.

@Bermy So for 6’/2m DBH…36”? I have up to 3120 60”, but chance of nails 😬😬😬 I felled some 5’ DBH with the 3120 42” and it kicked my butt…partly poor chain choice. .404 semi chis full comp.

My 36” LW Oregon feels better than 32” Stihl on my 288…stihl bar needs to go on a carbon fiber diet.

I don't cut trees that size, 40-43" dia has been my max for work so far. All I had then was a 360 with 20"
Double cut the face, bore the centre, fan it, then walk the back cut around.
Even now my 462 only has 20" on it.
Talk about power/weight ratio, for me it's height/strength ratio 😁

That was basically insane.

Especially given that everyone seemed to driving safely just prior

O.o WTH's going on there? Looks like a mine cave in, but sounds like a soccer match.
