I got back down here solo. Getting some good work done throwing a bunch of junk away into a roll off I rented, trying to put the shop back in some order, and doing some farm stuff. Here is a mess of pictures.

How do you post less than full resolution size pictures? Cannot figure it out yet. trying not to have to resize everything individually before selecting.

We had a great time exploring the back side of my uncle's attached property. I had not been back to this far side of his pond and the dam for decades. It made for a great walk with all the boys.

Kyle...You get better and come see me. It'd be a great place to visit and play some. A buddy and I used to come down here in the mid-90s just the two of us. Lots of good adventures hunting alligators, falling in the pond, on a rainy day sitting on the front porch and shooting 22s across the road into the ditch....or just sitting in the rocking chairs and listening to it rain.

If you did I'd probably break out granddaddy's old welder and make you show me some stuff while you're down here.:D

I posted some other pictures on the "how did it go today" thread about jacking up the cabin and breaking some beaver dams at the farm. These pictures show you what a gator crossing looks like. We've got the main dirt road between the ponds and at least one gator likes to go back and forth in the same place periodically. I've learned what his footprints, claw prints and tail drag looks like so far.

This is what the gator crossing looks like before I raked it out. You have to zoom in to see the unadulterated gator marks.

Also fighting squirrels down here lately. I finally ventured up into the attic at the old log cabin and found where they had been chewing through wires. I got to lay in the heat up there yesterday and work on the wiring... Lots of fun. Working on trying to plug the holes and dissuade them from further incursion. Likely a losing battle.

Hopefully it'll work. Attic work in the heat sucks. I might have put it off til winter if the wiring wasn't needed immediately.

My house was unused for a dozen years before I bought it ... Lots of Mice and Red Squirrels were primary residents , I believe the Squirrels chewed more wires.
