Forestry mulching vs clearing — what are you guys doing more?

Been noticing more clients asking for forestry mulching lately, even on jobs where full clearing might make more sense.


Mulching is quick and looks clean, but it doesn’t handle stumps or roots, and I’ve seen regrowth come back faster in some spots.


How are you guys deciding between mulching and full clearing these days? Are customers understanding the difference, or do you have to explain it a lot?

How to decide would be based on what the customer wants.

I normally ask customers what their plans are and how they plan on maintaining the area in the years to come.

We don’t do much clearing these days and we do even less mulching.
