Worked for my friends on the organic farm today, doing IT work. 2 of my boys took the opportunity to cast some lines, wound up catching 8 x 8" bass (one was closer to 10") and one flat head catfish.

We have rainbow trout running up the creek on the farm. Amazing how fast they can spot a human near the bank. You can stand still and even have some cover and they still recognize the danger. They call the variety of rainbows steelheads. Very pretty but too fishy for me.

Just a little musky 25". If it has been a biggun we wouldnt have been able to net it.

Son caught it fishing for crappie and bass. Basically anything that would hit at the time.

Fishing has suked this year so far. Rain rain rain cold cold cold wind. :|:

Replaced the cigarette lighter on the boat with one my diesel mechanic gave me. Wife was cleaning the boat and asked whats that, I’ve never seen it before. I told her I installed a parking brake. She said kewl, we don’t have to use that damn anchor anymore. Our son just walked away shaking his head.

Had a half decent salmon on Monday evening- a little over 9lb on the scales. Always fun with a single handed fly rod.

Nice.

Heck I had fun just catching pan fish on a fly rod. Couldn't imagine something like that.

We've been doing picnics up at a local private lake on Sunday evenings.
Lilly caught her first two fish last Sunday.
Levi sporting a little bass action.
