I got a neck loop from Treekit, because I live in England.
It's a bit of elastic that runs through a rope sheath and has a DMM mini biner.

In elementary school I played Alto Saxophone ... Had a neck thing w small stainless steel hook highly adjustable.

Custom beer-knotted loop runner. I have, and use a HUT, but that old runner is just about perfect.
